Is it God's Will to Heal ?
With all certainty, it is God’s will to heal you. As a believer in the Lord Jesus Christ, there's no need to deliberate over whether it is God’s will to heal or not because it is explicitly stated in His Word that by His stripes we have been healed (1 Peter 2:24).
“who Himself bore our sins in His own body on the tree, that we, having died to sins, might live for righteousness—by whose stripes you were healed.” (1 Peter 2:24NKJV)
Is it true that Jesus Christ was stripped/wounded? Yes. Isaiah prophesied it:
“But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities; The chastisement for our peace was upon Him, And by His stripes we are healed.” (Isaiah 53:5NKJV)
We read in the scriptures Matthew 27:26 that Pontius Pilate ordered Jesus to be flogged before His crucifixion.
“So Pilate released Barabbas to them. He ordered Jesus flogged with a lead-tipped whip, then turned him over to the Roman soldiers to be crucified.” (Matthew 27:26, NLT)
Peter commented on this in 1 Peter 2:24:
“...—by whose stripes you were healed.”
Right from the prophecy of Isaiah (Isaiah 53:5) through Matthew 27:26 to 1 Peter 2:24, we can see the fulfilment of God’s Word concerning healing.
This is a covenant of health God established for mankind, sealed with the blood of Jesus that flowed. As a believer, you are under God’s covenant of healing, and God always keeps His covenant without failing. Therefore, let your heart settle in this truth that Christ healed you by default.
By the laws of the United States of America, you are a citizen by default when born on the land. In like manner, when you believe in Jesus as a saviour, salvation and healing are yours by default. So, you are healed before sickness may come your way.
HOW TO RECEIVE YOUR HEALING
Acknowledge who you are:
I use the word "acknowledge" because you are not now going to become who you ought to be. You already are, and what is left is to discover it. The scripture tells us that as you have become joined to Christ by faith, you become one in spirit with Him (1 Corinthians 6:17), and as Jesus is, so are you in this world (1 John 4:17). Your body is under the covenant of health and subject to the Lordship of Christ and revitalized by the Spirit of God indwelling. Therefore, sickness is an alien and has no place in your body unless you willingly give it a place.
Resist with all your being:
Sickness of all kinds is a product of sin and must be treated as a devil. In the beginning, there was no illness until sin came in. How do we treat sickness? See it as a devil and resist it until it flees. The scripture says, "submit yourselves to God, resist the devil, and he will flee" (James 4:7NKJV). Like the devil, sickness comes into the body to steal - take it into captivity, and then destroy it and eventually kill you (John 10:10), so do not treat it lightly. Resist it with all your being.
How do we resist sickness?
Declare the will of God over yourself and your situation.
What is the will of God? You may ask.
It's what the scripture says about you and the situation. When you make declarations by faith, instant creation takes place in the spirit. Therefore, by so doing consistently you are aligning yourself or the part that needs healing with the absolute perfection of God. Let us take for instance 1 Peter 2:24 “...—by whose stripes you were healed”. To personalize this scripture for good health, imagine/picture yourself or someone in need of healing in a healthy state. As you visualize the affected body part, whole, declare by faith these words, "I .am healed by the stripes of Jesus, and I am well in the name of Jesus" Repeat this process for other scriptures as directed by the Holy Spirit.
You will see or begin experiencing improvements henceforth. God bless you.
